Particle Interactions Forgified
The described mod is an adapted version of the original Particle Interactions mod from the June 3, 2025 build for Minecraft 1.21.1. It's important to note that this repack is not affiliated with the original developer and future updates are not planned. All discovered bugs should be reported through this version's corresponding GitHub repository.
What Does This Mod Add?
This modification expands the game's visual effects by adding particles to various actions: block placement, tool usage, and many other gameplay mechanics. All features are easily customizable and can be disabled according to preference.
The mod's key feature is that it can be installed only on the client side, without requiring server installation. However, it's worth noting that some visual effects may not display during other players' actions. Multiplayer support improvements are planned for the future, which may require server-side installation.
Configuration Options
Any aspect of the mod's operation can be configured through the settings menu. To access this, open the mod list on the main screen or pause menu, find Particle Interactions, and select the configuration option.
Main Visual Effects
Block Particle Override System
The mod introduces unique block destruction and placement effects that activate when interacting with specific surfaces:
- Snowflakes - appear when interacting with snow blocks, snow layers, and powder snow
- Fireflies - visualize around firefly bushes
- Cherry petals - elegantly fall from cherry leaves, saplings, and pink petals
- Azalea leaves - cover both regular and flowering azalea varieties
- Coniferous particles - create atmosphere around birch and spruce leaves
- Universal foliage effects - apply to all other standard leaf block types
- Flower petals - decorate cave vines, twisting vines, weeping vines, bushes, and most flowers
- Grass blades - appear on grass blocks, regular and tall grass, seagrass, vines, glowing lichen, and agricultural crops
- Heavy grass particles - accompany hanging roots, pale hanging moss, cobwebs, and tripwires
- Moss clumps - activate when working with regular moss and moss carpets
- Pale moss particles - work with pale moss and corresponding carpets
- Dust - rises when contacting sand, gravel, suspicious materials, concrete powders, and soul grounds
- Redstone particles - appear near energy conductors, redstone blocks, comparators, repeaters, and torches
- Destruction effects - visualize Nether portal disappearances
Additional Visual Enhancements
The mod enriches numerous other gameplay processes with unique effects:
- Water effects - underwater construction and destruction is accompanied by air bubbles
- Fire mechanics - flint and steel ignition creates sparks, while fire charges release smoke and fire particles
- Fire effects - campfires and natural fires periodically emit sparks (blue for soul fire) and ember particles
- Tool work - visualizes soil tilling, log stripping, and ground flattening
- Transportation - minecarts moving at high speed with cargo create sparks from wheels
- Hostile mobs - blazes generate sparks when appearing and taking damage
- Crafting processes - item combining and processing in anvils and stonecutters produces sparks
- Brushing mechanics - cleaning blocks with brushes creates dust effects
- Electrical components - interaction with redstone components creates red dust
- Falling objects - blocks generate visual effects during falling and landing
- Aquatic environment - underwater vegetation periodically releases bubble streams
- Lava animations - added bubble popping effects in molten material
- Player movement - walking and jumping through flowers, foliage, and cobwebs leaves particles
- Production blocks - furnaces and blast furnaces emit sparks and embers during operation, while smokers emit large smoke particles
- Item frames - interaction with frames generates dust
- Special zones - in swamp biomes at night, fireflies appear when interacting with plants
Technical Improvements
The mod not only adds new effects but also optimizes existing ones:
- Unifies particle sizes for block destruction, placement, food consumption, and similar actions
- Fixes particle z-fighting issues when looking straight down
- Provides the option to disable additional physics calculations for performance enhancement
