Particle Moths
Particle Moths
This mod brings Minecraft to life by adding moths created using particles. Unlike regular creatures, these beings are visual effects, making them lightweight and not affecting game performance.
Moth Appearance
Although technically moths don't appear as full-fledged creatures (they are particles), for convenience we'll use the term "appearance" when describing their generation in the world.
In Caves
Moths can appear within a certain radius around the player, the size of which is configurable. Important condition: they won't generate in rainy weather or when attempting to appear in water.
Near Light Sources
There's also a chance for moths to appear near certain light-emitting blocks. As with caves, rain and water prevent their appearance.
Blocks That Attract Moths
- Regular torches (including soul torches)
- Lanterns
- Redstone torches
- Redstone lamps
- Candles
