Particle Rain - Visual Weather Enhancement
Particle Rain mod dramatically transforms the standard weather in Minecraft by replacing it with spectacular particle effects. Requires Fabric API and Yet Another Config Library (versions before 3.1 need Cloth). This is a client-side mod for Fabric.
Realistic Precipitation
Rain Particles
Raindrops fall at an angle, creating a wind effect. During storms, the wind becomes stronger.
Snow Particles
Snowflakes slowly rotate as they fall, creating a realistic winter landscape.
Sandstorms
Dust whirlwinds and flying shrubs appear in deserts and other dry biomes. Compatible with modded biomes.
Version 3.0 Innovations
Biome Tint
Rain and water particles take on the color corresponding to the water tint in the current biome.
Water Ripples
Realistic circles appear when rain falls on water. Quality matches your resource pack resolution.
Water Streaks
Flowing water streams appear on hard surfaces from rain.
Ground Fog
Light fog envelops humid biomes at sea level.
Experimental Fog
Denser fog, disabled by default due to potential performance issues.
Version 3.3 Update
Puddles
Shader compatible. Can overlap with non-solid blocks. Puddle placement can be edited through resource packs.
Configuration
With Mod Menu you can finely tune particle behavior. All effects can be toggled on and off. Starting from version 3.1, Yet Another Config Library is required for configuration.
Performance Optimization
Reduce radius, density, or maximum particle count in settings. By default, up to 1500 particles are created, which most systems handle without issues.
Mod Compatibility
Particle Tweaks
For Minecraft 1.20, use version 1.1.1 instead of the latest.
Serene Seasons
Not compatible with versions older than 9.3. Rain in deserts is a feature of Serene Seasons during specific seasons.
