Partner Pokémon - Special Enhanced Versions for Cobblemon

Partner Pokémon is a unique data pack that significantly simplifies battles in Cobblemon by enhancing your Pokémon's stats. The system is inspired by the partner Pokémon mechanics from Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, but expanded to practically all Pokémon.

Key Features

Enhanced Pokémon Stats

Pokémon with the active "Partner" status receive significant base stat increases. For balancing purposes, all Pokémon are divided into two groups:

• Powerful Pokémon (legendaries, pseudo-legendaries, mythicals, ultra beasts, and paradox Pokémon): BST increase of 100 points
• All other Pokémon: BST increase of 110 points

Obtaining Partner Status

• Use the command /pokeedit: /pokeedit 1 partner=true
• Starting from version 1.2.5 - reach maximum friendship with your Pokémon and "evolve" it

Special Abilities

Many partner Pokémon receive unique bonuses:

• Partner Jolteon - Steadfast ability
• Partner Flareon - Sheer Force ability
• Partner Vaporeon - Rain Dish ability
• Partner Espeon - Telepathy (instead of Magic Guard)
• Partner Umbreon - Unnerve and Intimidate abilities
• Partner Leafeon - Infiltrator ability
• Partner Glaceon - Competitive ability (instead of Slush Rush)
• Partner Sylveon - Friend Guard ability
• Mega Gallade - Sharpness instead of Inner Focus
• Beldum line receives Heavy Metal ability
• Partner Froslass receives Infiltrator as a second ability

Small Pokémon that can ride on your shoulder provide beneficial potion effects!

Mod Compatibility

Mega Evolutions

• All mega evolutions have been accounted for and received appropriate stat changes

Extra Eeveelutions Mod

• If using the Extra Eeveelutions mod, all unofficial Eevee evolutions also receive partner enhancements

Special Moves

• From version 1.3, partner Pikachu and partner Eevee can learn exclusive moves from Let's Go games (except Pika Papow and Veevee Volley)
• From version 1.8, partner Pokémon can use unique Z-Moves
• From version 1.8.1.5, G-Max Moves are also available

System requirements: Mega Showdown mod is required from version 1.8

Riding Compatibility

For CobblemonRider mod users, there's a separate configuration that allows riding partner Pokémon. Download the additional "Rider config" file from version 1.4 or newer and copy the configuration file to your world's folder (not to resource or data pack folders!).

Current Availability

Partner Pokémon capabilities are implemented for 504 out of 1025 official Pokémon, plus several additional ones from other mods.

Known Issues

• Regional forms do not receive partner status
• Planned to be fixed in future updates

Important Limitations

• Do not use partner Pokémon in team builders - they won't display
• First disable partner status using the /pokeedit command
• Not compatible with Cobblemon Transporter

Installation

Simply place the data pack zip file in the datapacks folder of your world in the saves directory, no need to unpack! Use freely on servers and in single-player worlds.
