Phayriosis Parasite Infection

This mod introduces a dangerous infection to Minecraft that begins with the appearance of special parasite mobs. These creatures can assimilate almost any other creatures in the game. Some of them can evolve into much more powerful enemies known as "Primitive Advanced Parasites" - they are distinguished by their huge size and can detect the player from a great distance.

When a parasite dies, there's a small chance that a growing collective mind will appear beneath it. After a few seconds, it turns into a primitive collective mind, which becomes the beginning of a large-scale infection. Tumors form near it, spawning small mites. These creatures transform the blocks beneath them into assimilated versions - for example, stone becomes "primitive phayrium". Such blocks slowly spread to adjacent territories and can also spawn parasitic plants above or below them.

Sometimes these blocks mutate into other forms: tumors, sentries, and pit plants. Sentries create assimilated mobs above them when a player is nearby. Pit plants resemble assimilated dirt (primitive phayrilesh) in appearance and dissolve the player along with their armor when falling into them. They can also turn into consumers that absorb assimilated mobs. After three absorptions, a primitive advanced parasite appears above the consumer, and the consumer itself becomes a pit plant again.

Over time, tumors and sentries go into a dormant state and spawn either a hive warden or a beacon. Both of these mobs are classified as plants and create basic parasites when the player approaches. The beacon can evolve to the second stage (and in the latest beta version - to the third stage), becoming significantly stronger and attacking upon close contact.

The mod contains many other elements, such as armor and items, that were not covered in this description. But the main infection mechanics are presented above - enjoy the game (and suffering)!

Using "Jade", "J.E.I." and "Neat" mods is recommended.
