Pistorder
Visualization of Piston Operation in Minecraft
This mod allows you to visually see the order in which a piston will move blocks when activated. The idea for creating such a useful tool was borrowed from the CarpetClient project.
How to Use
Simply right-click on the piston base with an empty hand to display information about what will happen when the piston extends or retracts.
If you are sneaking while clicking, the information will not be displayed.
What the Mod Shows
The screen displays:
- Success of the piston action (√ symbol means success, × means failure)
- Number of blocks that will be moved by the piston (even if the limit is exceeded, maximum 128 blocks)
- Order of block movement
- Order of block destruction
Information is displayed even when the piston action fails, but if the failure is caused by an immovable block, the result may be inaccurate.
Display Management
Clicking the piston again hides the information. Information is also automatically removed when changing dimensions.
If there is an air gap between the piston and a block, clicking again switches to indirect interaction mode, showing information about possible piston interaction with the block.
Press the clear hotkey (default P) to manually remove all information displays.
Compatibility
For mods that change the piston movement limit, compatibility with Fabric Carpet and Quick Carpet is supported.
This is a client-side only mod that does not require installation on the server.
