Mod Overview

This modification is a fork of the popular "true darkness" addon that completely changes the lighting system in the game.

Key Feature

The main difference from the original is that the server gains the ability to forcibly apply the complete darkness effect on the client side. This allows for truly realistic lighting conditions where moonless nights and enclosed spaces become absolutely black.

Technical Details

It should be noted that some modifications and shaders can bypass these restrictions. To solve this problem, the configuration includes the ability to block certain mods. Specifically, administrators can prohibit the use of Iris (the shader mod) for users who attempt to bypass the darkness system.

Main Purpose

The primary goal of creating this mod is to ensure fair gameplay on hardcore servers, preventing players from gaining unfair advantages by circumventing the darkness system.

The modification is fully compatible with modpacks and can be freely used in any builds.
