Planetarium
The Planetarium mod adds realistic rendering of Solar System planets to Minecraft's night sky. Essentially, the game's celestial sphere transforms into a genuine planetarium where you can observe the movement of celestial bodies.
Planet textures were created by community members @Crackers0106 and @lxly9, who made significant contributions to the project's development.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Is Planetarium compatible with shaders? Answer: Yes, the mod has been tested with Complementary Shaders and works correctly provided that the "Reimagined" style for sun and moon is selected in shader settings.
Question: Can I configure planet visibility and their sizes? Answer: Starting from version 1.21+, this is possible by creating a datapack with planet JSON files and corresponding textures.
Planet JSON files are placed in the src/main/resources/assets/your_mod/planetarium/planets folder, and textures - in src/main/resources/assets/your_mod/textures/planetarium/planets. Texture override functionality is also available.
Question: Can Planetarium be ported to other Minecraft versions? Answer: Yes, porting is allowed for all versions except versions for (neo)Forge.
Question: Does Planetarium support other modloaders? Answer: No, the mod works exclusively with Quilt and Fabric. Porting to (neo)Forge or other modloaders is not permitted.
