Mecha Soldier PLASTAR

Badge 'Made for ModFest 1.21'

Add miniature mecha robots to your Minecraft world that can perform various tasks for you. These mechanical assistants are assembled from individual parts, with each component being paintable in various colors and patterns.

Getting Started

Sappy acacia tree

To build your first mecha, you'll first need to find a sappy acacia tree in a nearby savanna. Use a tree tap by clicking on trunks to collect sap, which turns into styrol. The sap will gradually regenerate, but if you chop down the tree without Silk Touch, this ability will be lost forever.

Melt the obtained styrol in a furnace to turn it into polystyrene. Then create a part printer and load polystyrene into the left slot of the device. By selecting the desired component to manufacture, you can take the finished part. You can add various additives to the right slot, such as redstone, which change the plastic's properties and characteristics of the created parts.

Mecha Assembly

Mecha assembler interface

When you have several printed parts, create a mecha assembler. This device combines all components into a complete robot. For basic assembly, you'll need at least a head, torso, one arm and one leg of each type. Additionally, you can install a backpack. For convenience, use shift+click to automatically place parts in the required slots.

After removing the assembled mecha from the device, you can place it on the ground by simply using the item in the desired location. To pick up your mechanical assistant again, sneak and click on it. Currently, your creations can only wander around and please the eye, but in the future they will become a powerful tool for automating various tasks.

Development Plans

The modification is in early beta testing and doesn't yet contain all planned features. Here's what's planned to be added in upcoming updates:

  • Special block for painting mecha parts
  • Task assignment system for mechanical assistants
  • Different characteristics for various part types
  • Additional types of additives for changing plastic properties
