
Player Only Loot
This mod fundamentally changes the mechanics of mob loot drops. Enemies no longer leave items upon death, except when killed directly by a player. Deaths caused by devices such as mob killing machines are also considered player kills.
This approach eliminates the possibility of creating fully automated farms where creatures would die accidentally or from natural causes, such as cactus damage. No more dealing with zombies made immortal by items they picked up from careless fellow creatures. The behavior in versions 1.0.0 through 1.0.1 also ensures that items are only awarded for player kills, which is particularly relevant for player versus player mode in PvP.
