Player2NPC - Artificial Intelligence in the World of Minecraft!
Imagine having a reliable companion in Minecraft who doesn't just follow you around, but actively helps with building, resource gathering, and defense against enemies. With the Player2NPC modification, this dream becomes reality!
This unique project, created by developer Goodbird as part of the Player2 AI Game Jam, uses cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies to create full-fledged companions that behave like real players.
Main Features
🗣️ Natural Communication: Simply type messages in chat using regular language. Say "Need to gather wood for a chest" or "Help me deal with this zombie" - your assistant will understand and complete the task.
🤖 Full AI Agents: These companions have their own bodies, inventories, and can interact with the world: break and place blocks, use tools, fight mobs.
⚡ Simple Installation: After installing the mod, you can start playing immediately - no complex settings required.
🎭 Character Selection: Press the H key (configurable) to open the companion selection menu. Each character has a unique personality, appearance, and voice thanks to the Player2 platform.
🤝 True Assistant: Need a shield? Ask them to craft it. Running out of food? Send them hunting. Exploring a cave? They'll cover your back.
Quick Start
Step 1: Installing the Player2 Application
The artificial intelligence operates through a special desktop application that must be downloaded and installed. It provides connection to AI models and should run in the background.
Step 2: Installing the Mod
Installation is performed like for regular Fabric mods:
- Install Fabric and Fabric API
- Add Cardinal Components and PlayerEngine mods
- Download the latest version of Player2NPC
- Place the JAR file in the mods folder
- Launch the game!
Starting the Game
- Launch Minecraft with the installed mod and running Player2 application
- Enter a single-player world
- Your AI companion will appear nearby
- Start communicating with them through chat - say hello or give your first task!
