PlushPets - Bring Plush Pets to Life!

This collection adds collectible plush toys that can be found as loot in chests. These adorable creatures can be placed on surfaces and picked up, similar to player heads. The most exciting part - you can "animate" them, turning them into loyal pets! Once they become your companion, the plush friend will follow you or stay in place on command, and can also breed. The collection already features about 40 different plush characters!

Compatibility

Important note: This data pack is fully compatible with other modifications that change standard loot tables. Instead of directly editing tables, plush toys are added to chests when players open them. This means you can find plushies in chests whose contents have been modified by other mods!

Finding Plush Toys

Plush friends appear in various loot chests throughout the world. Different types of plushies can be found depending on location structure, biome, and other factors.

Animating Plush Pets

To turn a placed plush toy into a living pet, you'll need a weakness potion and a glistering melon slice. After applying these items, the plush will come to life! Managing your new friend is simple: right-click to make them follow you or stay in place.

Breeding Plush Pets

Plush pets adore feathers! If you hold a feather in your hand, they will follow you especially closely. Use this feature to breed two plush friends.

Plush eggs hatch within 10 minutes, and a baby of one of the parents emerges from them.

In very rare cases, plush pets may lay a golden egg, from which a special golden plush will hatch.

Naming Pets

(Available only in version 1.16.2 and above)

To give your plush pet a name, simply use a renamed name tag on them.

Settings

You can enable and disable various collection features using commands:

/function plushpets:options/<option name here>

Available options:

• Anti-griefing: Prevents plushies from dying from fire and lava (you can remove a plush using flint and steel)
• Disable breeding: Turns off the breeding mechanic
• No loot: Disables plushies appearing in chests
• Disable animation: Disables the ability to turn plush blocks into pets
• Allow non-plushies: Allows players to animate player heads that are not plushies
• Uninstall: Completely removes the collection from your world (if pets are in unloaded chunks, they may not be removed)
