Polarizing Biomes

Features

Polarizing Biomes enriches Minecraft with five new winter biomes that bring a snowy fairy tale atmosphere to the game. Each has its own unique geomorphology:

Big Frozen Lakes: An endless panorama of massive frozen reservoirs. The cold here is so intense that water remains frozen to the very bottom.

Dense Taiga: A forest wilderness composed of giant spruces standing wall-to-wall. Here and there you may encounter only a few individual conventional coniferous trees.

Frozen Forest: An area of extreme cold where oak foliage and grass have turned to ice. Flora here is represented only by spruce trees and some flower species.

Frozen Water Bodies: A landscape adorned with numerous small frozen lakes. Temperature is so low that they completely lack liquid water instantly refresh their abilities with a short rest.

Winter Mountains: Mountain ranges spanning many kilometers with spruce forests on the slopes. Be careful when exploring — you could fall down!

The appearance frequency of new biomes in game worlds is similar to vanilla territory blocks. Unfortunately, their generation rate cannot be manually configured.

You may freely integrate this addition into any modpack.
