Polar's Mad Tweaks - Crazy Changes for Minecraft

This mod introduces numerous interesting and amusing changes to mob behavior, making gameplay more diverse and unpredictable.

General Changes

Non-undead mobs capable of receiving the Regeneration effect will slowly recover health when not in combat. Sleep also helps heal both mobs and players. The Blindness effect significantly reduces mob detection range, while Strength increases projectile damage. Hungry mobs periodically take damage, and saturation removes this effect. Creatures with less than 100 health flee from the Warden, and hitting with a fish knocks back targets over a long distance. Being near lava ignites objects due to convection, and player staring makes mobs hostile. Ranged mobs can run out of arrows and switch to melee combat.

Animal Changes

Cows and goats are no longer affected by effects curable with milk. Burning cows have a chance to explode due to methane emission. Livestock can retaliate against attackers, and random animals attack the player without reason. Chickens from chicken jockeys become aggressive, and horses killed by zombies turn into zombie horses, which eventually become skeletons over time. Polar bears attack everyone except creepers, and untamed wolves attack zombies. Named wolves become hostile toward children, and cats attack small creatures. Frogs take damage from eating magma cubes, and hoglins do not zombify at night.

Special Mobs

Blazes heal in fire and do not receive certain effects. Their attacks ignite targets, and their glow dims at low health. Creepers follow baby mobs, their explosions do not damage blocks, they do not attack non-player entities, and take extra damage from fire. They can ignite and climb walls. Endermen with TNT explode when burning and attack anyone looking at them. Golems and shulkers do not receive certain effects. Iron golems take less damage but are vulnerable to pickaxes. Snow golems are vulnerable to shovels.

Other Creatures

After a successful raid, raiders explode. Patrol leaders constantly have Resistance and Strength. Magma cubes ignite their surroundings, do not receive certain effects, and turn into stone versions in water. Large cubes can be used as platforms. Ghasts periodically drop tears and are incorporeal. Phantoms phase through blocks and appear translucent. Piglins do not zombify at night and hate villagers. Spiders attack animals in darkness. Silverfish swim and breathe underwater. Baby villagers can become illagers under bad influence. Wardens heal on sculk blocks, gain experience from kills, and have area attacks. Zombies turn into skeletons, can become husks in sand or desert, and drowned extinguish from fire and revert to zombies in hot biomes.
