Pony Magic - Magical World of Ponies in Minecraft
Pony Magic is a unique addition for Minecraft version 1.12.2 that opens up a world of magic and wonder for players, inspired by the My Little Pony universe. This mod is designed for use alongside Mine Little Pony and offers an exciting system of magical abilities.
Main Features
The mod introduces four unique pony races, each with their own characteristics and magical talents. The energy (mana) system allows for managing ability usage, while over 40 different skills provide diverse gameplay experiences.
Mod Installation
To start using Pony Magic, you'll need:
- Install Minecraft Forge for version 1.12.2
- Download Potion Core version 1.8 and place it in the mods/ folder
- Download the Pony Magic mod itself and also add it to the mods/ directory
Configuration and Settings
Most mod parameters can be configured through configuration files located in the config/ponymagic/ folder. This allows adapting the gameplay to individual preferences.
Gameplay
Race Selection
The first step is choosing one of the four available races, each with unique abilities:
Unicorns - masters of teleportation, healing, and enchantment management. Can swim in lava and heal allies.
Earthponies - feature increased combat endurance, accelerate plant growth, and can repair equipment.
Zebras - specialize in controlling and modifying potion effects.
Pegasi - possess flight ability and aerial magic.
To select a race, use the command: /magic race player_name race_name
Ability Development
After choosing a race, the player gains access to the ability progression system (key O) and the quest system (key P).
Quest System
To learn new abilities, you need to complete quests. Successful quest completion rewards ability points that can be spent on learning specific skills in the abilities menu.
Ability Reset
If needed, you can reset all learned abilities using the "Reset Book" item or by spending 30 levels of vanilla experience.
Energy System
All races initially have 100 stamina units. Energy recovery occurs when the player is not hungry and is on solid ground. Weak regeneration is also available when swimming in water.
The maximum energy capacity and recovery speed can be increased using corresponding abilities. Energy is spent on using active skills and when pegasi fly.
Ability Types
Abilities are divided into two types: active and passive. Active skills are activated with the command /cast spell_name, while passive ones work constantly or automatically activate under certain conditions.
Some abilities can be turned off (such as absolute shield). Brief descriptions of each ability are available in tooltips in the abilities window.
