Potions Master
New Tier of Potions for Ore Exploration
The Potions Master mod introduces a completely new category of potions called OreSight. Each such potion temporarily grants you the ability to see through blocks, detecting a specific type of ore. Three variants are available: regular, splash, and lingering potions.
Supported Ores
Vanilla Ores: Coal, iron, redstone, lapis, gold, diamond, emerald, nether quartz
Modded Ores: Aluminum, copper, lead, nickel, silver, tin, uranium, zinc (plus osmium, crimson iron, bismuth, platinum for versions 1.15.1+)
The mod automatically works with any mods that add these ores and use the correct Forge tags.
Crafting Process
Start by crafting a mortar and pestle - recipes can be found through JEI or JER. Then grind the required material (ingot, gem, or coal) in the mortar to obtain powder. This can be done either on a crafting table or by placing the mortar in the world and using the pestle.
The resulting powder needs to be smelted in a furnace to get calcinated powder. Mix three mundane potions with this powder in a brewing stand - and your OreSight potion is ready!
Healing Items
The mod also adds three useful items (with maximum stack size of 16) for curing negative effects:
- Bezoars: Dropped from sheep, cures poison
- Polar Bear Gall Bladders: Dropped from polar bears, removes mining fatigue
- Activated Charcoal: Obtained by smelting charcoal powder, removes wither effect
Potion Mixing
New mechanic in version 0.1.0+: Place a cauldron over a campfire, add any two potions and one glowstone. Light the campfire and wait until the mixture reduces. Then collect the result with an empty bottle. The resulting potion can be used again for further combinations.
Warning: Right-clicking the cauldron with an empty hand will clear its contents!
Additional Improvements
Invisibility and long invisibility potions no longer create particle effects - now you truly become invisible.
Important: The mod does not support versions 1.12 and below. Installation is required on both client and server.
