Power Networks
This mod introduces an innovative energy transfer system using specialized coils and wires. You have access to four equipment tiers: basic, improved, advanced, and ultimate. Each coil can be configured for input-only, output-only, or bidirectional energy flow.
Getting Started
To create an energy network, you'll need to craft wires and coils. Crafting recipes may vary across different modpacks, so using recipe viewer mods is recommended. Once you have the necessary components, place coils on energy sources and consumers, then connect them with wires by clicking sequentially on both coils. Different equipment tiers have varying performance characteristics.
How It Works
Each coil is equipped with two energy buffers of equal size - for receiving and transmitting energy. When energy is received from other mods, it accumulates in the input buffer, and when energy is requested, it's supplied from the output buffer. Once per game tick, coils automatically transfer accumulated energy.
The energy distribution system works as follows: when the network activates, energy is evenly distributed among all output buffers, while collection from input buffers occurs in random order.
Configuration
Mod configuration is available through the config/power_networks.json file or via in-game interface with YACL support. Use the /power_networks reload command to apply changes.
Transfer Parameters
This section allows you to modify coil energy buffer capacities, which directly affects maximum energy transfer rates.
Visual Settings
You can customize textures for all mod elements. Complete texture changes require re-entering the game.
Additional Options
Includes double connection rendering feature that can help with connection visibility issues.
