Introduction to the World of Abilities

The PowerSurge mod opens up access to a unique system of superpowers that are activated using accumulated "surge" energy. This energy gradually builds up when destroying any creatures with health - from ordinary animals to dangerous mobs and other players.

How the System Works

As the surge bar fills up, you'll notice a special indicator appearing in the bottom left corner of the screen. To activate abilities, you'll need special chemical vials that can be obtained as rare drops from certain creatures. After consuming such a vial, the corresponding ability becomes available for use.

The "M" key serves to activate and deactivate the selected ability, while the "[" and "]" keys allow switching between available skills. It's important to remember that surge energy is constantly consumed both during active abilities and slowly decreases in passive state, preventing long-term accumulation.

Available Abilities

Jump

Instant activation of jump boost effect level five for several seconds.

Invisibility

Brief disappearance from the sight of others.

Flight

Ability to freely soar in the air, as in creative mode. Requires manual deactivation and actively consumes energy.

Fire Charge

Instant shot of a powerful fire projectile in the direction of the player's gaze.

Power Strike

Temporary enhancement of physical strength to level five.

Leap

Rapid jump over a long distance with a five-second cooldown period.

Quick Strike

Significant increase in attack speed against targets.

Lightning

Summoning an electric discharge at the specified point.

Teleport

Instant teleportation using an ender pearl.

Water Breathing

Free underwater movement without the need to surface for air.

Climb

Ability to climb vertical surfaces.

Quick Swim

Accelerated movement in aquatic environments.

Fire Resistance

Complete protection from fire and lava damage.

Each ability is associated with specific creature types and has its own drop probability:

  • Climb: Cave Spider - 3%
  • Fire Charge: Blaze - 5%
  • Fire Resistance: Magma Cube - 1%
  • Flight: Wither - 18%
  • Invisibility: Ghast - 12%
  • Jump: Zombie Pigman - 8%
  • Leap: Ghast - 9%
  • Lightning: Charged Creeper - 23%
  • Power Strike: Wither Skeleton - 9%
  • Quick Strike: Wither - 12%
  • Quick Swimming: Squid - 12%
  • Teleport: Enderman - 4%
  • Water Breathing: Squid - 4%

Drop probabilities and associated creatures may change in future updates.

Settings and Configuration

The mod offers extensive customization options for specific needs. Modpack creators can adjust energy accumulation rate, ability activation costs, maximum surge storage, and determine exactly which skills will be available to players.
