Prioritiser

The Prioritiser mod allows you to control the priority of the Minecraft process in the operating system, which can significantly impact game performance.

Available Priority Levels

In the configuration file Prioritiser.cfg, you can choose one of six priority levels:

Idle (background) - the lowest priority. The process receives CPU time only when the system is idle. Ideal for background tasks that don't affect overall performance.

Below Normal - priority lower than standard. The process receives fewer CPU resources than regular applications, minimizing impact on other tasks.

Normal - standard default priority for most applications. The process receives equal CPU time with other programs.

Above Normal - elevated priority. The process receives more CPU resources than regular applications, but less than high-priority tasks.

High - high priority. The process receives significantly more CPU time and can preempt lower-priority tasks.

Realtime - maximum priority. The process receives almost all available CPU time and can completely preempt other tasks. Warning: using this mode may cause system hangs!

Important Features

The mod requires ASJCore by AlexSocol to function.

To set Realtime priority, you need to run Minecraft with administrator rights in Windows or with root/sudo rights in Linux.

The mod integrates with FPS Reducer - when FPS reduction is activated (for example, when the game window is inactive), Prioritiser automatically sets the priority specified in the configuration.

Theoretically, the mod should work on macOS as well, but this version hasn't been tested yet. If you have the opportunity to test Prioritiser on macOS, please report your results!
