Productive Bees - Bees for Resource Automation

Productive Bees significantly expands the beekeeping capabilities introduced in Minecraft 1.15, adding numerous new bee species and advanced hives. Now you can create a fully automated resource production system with hardworking bees.
While these bees are just as cute and slightly clumsy as their vanilla counterparts, they make up for it with their incredible usefulness and productivity.
Rich Variety of Bees
The mod includes bees for producing almost all major Minecraft resources, as well as popular modded materials: copper, lead, silver, and many others. You'll find specialized bees for working with resources from Mystical Agriculture, Silents Gems, Powah, Tinkers Construct, Thermal, and other popular mods. Over 200 bee species are available when the relevant mods are installed.
Modern Hives
Instead of regular hives, you get access to 32 variants of advanced bee dwellings, most of which are crafted from wood added by other mods.
Complete customization to suit your needs: you can add your own bees, disable existing species, and change produced resources and their quantities.
For convenience, it's recommended to use JEI for viewing breeding recipes and Patchouli for in-game documentation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't bees move into the hive?
- Many bees in the overworld are solitary and live in nests, not hives. They don't produce resources and are mainly used for breeding.
- Each bee requires specific flowers - check requirements through JEI by right-clicking or pressing 'U' on the bee.
- If a bee lived in another hive, it might remember it as home. Place the bee in a cage and release it while sneaking next to the new hive.
- Try breaking and replacing the hive - bees remain inside when broken.
How to get a specific bee?
Most bees are obtained by breeding two other species. Recipes can be found in JEI or the "Big Book of Bees." Solitary and wild bees spawn from nests found in the world.
Special Bee Types
Neon Cuckoo and Nomad bees are cuckoo bees that spawn from other bees' nests. Skeletal and ZomBees spawn at night in empty advanced hives left in darkness.
