Progression Reborn
Progression Reborn fundamentally reshapes the approach to early and mid-game progression while staying true to vanilla Minecraft's spirit. It serves as a core foundation that integrates various dependencies to create a cohesive advancement system while preserving the original game's recognizability.
Reimagined Crafting Hierarchy
The familiar iron-to-diamond progression scheme becomes a thing of the past. Instead, players get:
- Copper gear as an intermediate step before obtaining iron
- The ability to upgrade copper items to iron using the smithing table
- A gold-to-rose upgrade system - a new iron equivalent found exclusively in the Nether
- Rebalanced armor protection values for all armor types
- Increased tool durability
- Cheaper trim duplication methods

Updated Resource Economy
The ore mining system has undergone significant changes:
(!) Standard stone variants now yield fewer materials than deepslate counterparts
- Adjusted ore drop rates
- Added new types of raw and smelted nuggets
- Modified ore distribution generation
- Two new enchantments have been added to adapt to the new system
Upgrade Template System (version 1.20+)
Smithing templates have been added, required for creating new equipment through the smithing table. Special templates have been implemented to match the new crafting recipes.
Additional Features
- Rose ingots can be used as trim materials for armor
- Complete new building block set made from rose material
- Reworked copper mining system
- Added ability to smelt entire blocks of raw ore

Ore Distribution and Drops
// Mining system: number of nuggets
Standard metals: 3-9 (average 4.5)
Deepslate deposits: 5-15 (average 7.5)
In older versions the indicators are different
The Fortune enchantment caps the upper drop limit on deepslate levels
Rose Gold Ore appears in the Nether - a unique replacement for iron, adapted to local conditions. Copper ore frequency has been increased, while iron distribution now progresses more smoothly across different depth levels.
New Enchantments
- Collection (chestplate): Automatically combines gathered nuggets into ingots every 9 pieces, reducing inventory clutter during long expeditions
- Reforge (pickaxe): Smelts certain blocks when mined with a chance to receive bonuses (scrap, ingots, alloy). Incompatible with Fortune and Silk Touch
New Tool and Armor Types
Copper: Becomes a real progression tier between stone and iron. A copper pickaxe is required for mining iron. The block system has been reworked to preserve building potential despite reduced mining yield.
