ProjectExtended

ProjectExtended is a modification that expands the capabilities of ProjectE by adding features that EE2 might have included if it were developed in modern times.

Implemented Features

Restricting Item Learning and Condensation

The system allows configuring which items cannot be learned or converted into EMC through condensation.

Interdiction Lanterns (1.20.1+ only)

Special lanterns that create a protective zone around themselves.

Dark and Red Matter Shields

These indestructible shields are enhanced versions of standard Minecraft shields. Like regular shields, they can be combined with banners to display patterns on the front. While they don't have additional unique features due to the high effectiveness of basic shields, the developer is open to suggestions for improvements.

Dark and Red Matter Tridents

These tridents feature more complex mechanics than their standard counterparts. Each trident has four operating modes that can be switched using ProjectE's hotkey:

  • Normal Mode: Functions as a standard trident with a loyalty level depending on charge level + 1. All other modes respect this loyalty level except for "Riptide," where the trident never leaves the player's hand.

  • Channeling: Similar to the "Channeling" enchantment for regular tridents but can summon lightning even without hitting entities. The number of lightning bolts equals charge level + 1. The dark matter trident requires a thunderstorm like regular tridents, while the red matter trident can summon lightning in any weather. Both types consume 64 EMC per lightning bolt.

  • Riptide: Resembles the "Riptide" enchantment for regular tridents with a level calculated based on charge + 1. The dark matter trident maintains the same usage restrictions as regular tridents, while the red matter trident can use riptide without rain or being in water.

  • Shockwave: Creates a shockwave when the trident lands or hits an entity. Damage depends on the trident's base damage, and area of effect size is based on charge level + 1. Area damage only affects hostile mobs.

Planned Features

Thanks to changes in ProjectE's API that simplify adding custom EMC mappers, support for various mods' machine recipes that don't include native mapping functionality is planned. Suggestions for adding support for specific mods can be submitted in the issue tracking system.

Known Issues

In versions prior to 1.16, there is a minor bug where the icon of dark or red matter tridents changes in the hotbar when thrown. This bug is not game-breaking but is the reason the mod is released as a beta version.
