Pufferfish's Attributes

About the Modification

This mod expands the game's attribute system by adding new parameters for the character. Originally these functions were part of the Pufferfish's Skills mod, but have now been separated into an independent project that can be used on its own.

Attribute Features

Some attributes work differently than standard game parameters. Instead of providing fixed values, they dynamically modify various indicators through addition or multiplication. For example, they can affect damage from different weapon types. These attributes function like regular ones, but their base value is set to a dynamic quantity and cannot be changed, as it is fixed as NaN. In the description below, such parameters are marked as dynamic.

Detailed Attribute Description

Stamina Attribute puffish_attributes:player.stamina allows changing the standard stamina value, which defaults to 4. Stamina determines how much exhaustion the player must accumulate to decrease hunger and saturation points.

Melee Damage Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.melee_damage modifies damage dealt by melee weapons.

Ranged Damage Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.ranged_damage affects damage from ranged weapons.

Fortune Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.fortune increases fortune when mining blocks, working even without the fortune enchantment on the tool.

Health Regeneration Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.healing regulates the amount of health restored during natural regeneration.

Jump Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.jump determines the character's jump height.

Resistance Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.resistance affects the player's overall resistance to damage.

Mining Speed Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.mining_speed speeds up resource gathering with all tools.

Pickaxe Speed Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.mining_speed improves pickaxe efficiency.

Axe Speed Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.mining_speed accelerates axe work.

Shovel Speed Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.mining_speed increases digging speed with shovels.

Sprinting Speed Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.sprinting_speed determines sprint speed.

Knockback Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.knockback regulates the knockback force against enemies.

Repair Cost Dynamic attribute puffish_attributes:player.repair_cost affects repair cost in the anvil.

Compatibility

The mod supports both major modification platforms - Forge and Fabric. Conflicts may occur with other mods adding similar attributes. Report compatibility issues if you find any.

There is incompatibility with all versions of Pufferfish's Skills below 0.12.0, as these versions already include Pufferfish's Attributes functionality. However, version 0.12.0 of Pufferfish's Skills, when released, will no longer contain Pufferfish's Attributes, making these mods compatible.

Supported Versions

The following Minecraft versions are actively supported and receive updates: 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.19.4, 1.20, 1.20.2, 1.20.4, 1.21.

The mod can be freely used in your mod packs provided the mod itself is not redistributed.
