PurpurClient - Minecraft Client Bug Fix Mod
PurpurClient is a Fabric client mod that specializes in fixing various client-side bugs in the game. While many of these fixes eventually make their way into official Minecraft versions, this mod provides an immediate solution for those who don't want to wait.
Although originally designed for optimal performance with Purpur servers (as reflected in the name), most of its features are compatible with any server type, as they address standard vanilla game bugs.
Key Features in Version 1.20.2:
- Customizable mob passenger positioning
- Display of bee counts inside beehives in the debug screen¹
- Stylish animated loading screen in Purpur theme (can be disabled in settings)
- Dynamic window title changes based on server type (translations can be added via PR)
- Display of custom enchantments instead of removing them on the client
- Removal of the client-side 255 level limit
¹ Only works when connected to Purpur servers
Previously Implemented Fixes:
- Asynchronous chat processing (removed due to complexity of Mojang's new chat system)
- Fix for rain particles appearing underwater MC-131770
- Fix for sky darkening when riding minecarts off tracks MC-51150
- Elimination of chat stuttering MC-218167
- Fix for log warnings about invalid flying attributes Purpur-744
- Fix for debug markers ignoring set blue and red values MC-234030 (shows as unresolved despite being fixed)
- Fix for client prematurely removing item entities from the world (MC-???)
Important note: PurpurClient adds a beautiful animated splash screen on game startup along with an improved window title message. Both features can be disabled in the configuration if not needed.
