Puzzle Mod
Context: For a long time, OptiFine has been an important part of modded Minecraft. However, this modification often caused conflicts with other mods, and its closed source code complicated development. As a result, many alternatives have appeared, but each usually replaces only one specific feature of OptiFine, forcing players to install multiple mods and configure each one separately through ModMenu.
The issue of finding alternatives can be solved by installing ready-made modpacks or using specialized replacement lists. The Puzzle mod was created to solve the second problem: it provides a unified configuration system for mods that replace OptiFine.
The mod includes built-in support for the most popular alternatives and an API for integration with other modifications. Since some OptiFine features still do not have full replacements, Puzzle independently implements some of them, for example, resourcepack-provided splash screens.
For resourcepack developers, the mod offers innovative capabilities: unlocked rotation values and larger size for JSON models. Puzzle can be configured through the standard Minecraft options menu or using ModMenu.
