Quest Utils
Quest Utils is a specialized Minecraft mod that adds useful blocks and items for creating story-driven modpacks with objectives. It's important to note that this is not a complete questing system, but rather a set of tools that can be successfully combined with other quest mods. The project is currently in early development and includes three main blocks:
Large Objective Display Screen - this block can range in size from 1×1 to 5×5 blocks. It can display up to 9 objective-related items, as well as a title and status text.
Item Comparator - a unique block that helps track objective completion. It compares a set of up to 9 items with those placed by the player and outputs a redstone signal based on the result. Additionally, the block can automatically transfer its contents to an inventory above it when receiving a redstone signal.
Display Pedestal - a simple yet effective block that showcases a single item on its surface.
A key feature of the mod is its integration support with Open Computers - all three blocks can be programmed and controlled through computer programs.
All blocks in the mod support state saving functionality. This means you can save and load block contents and current states to JSON files. The process works based on block identifiers (with wildcard support), allowing you to easily create separate files for different stages of your modpack.
