Quick Stack To Nearby Chests
Tired of endless manual item sorting that steals dozens of hours of gameplay? Quick Stack is a modification that provides an intuitive way to automatically organize your inventory into nearby containers and entities! This functionality was inspired by the identically named feature from Terraria. Beyond the core function, the mod offers several additional quality-of-life improvements.
Features
Quick Item Stacking!
Clicking a new button in the inventory interface automatically distributes items to appropriate containers.
- Items are only stacked into containers that already contain identical items. When multiple suitable containers are available, priority goes to those with the highest quantity of matching items.
- By default, the system processes only items from the main inventory (excluding the hotbar), but this can be configured.
- After sorting completes, an informational notification appears showing moved items and their destination locations.
Note: For game balance, a combined pathfinding and line-of-sight check prevents stacking into inaccessible containers.
Color-Coordinated Mappings!
When quick stacking initiates, inventory slots are highlighted with colors matching their destination container highlights.
- Each unique destination container (within one sorting operation) gets a distinct highlight color to visually demonstrate item routing.
- The highlighting persists after closing the inventory interface, allowing time to study color-container relationships. Highlight duration is configurable.
Entity Stacking Support!
The mod enables automatic stacking of items into inventories of any entities with accessible containers.
- Supported entities include llamas, donkeys, chest boats, and minecarts with chests, plus other container-equipped entities.
Note: If an entity is already glowing from a potion effect, the additional stacking highlight doesn't interfere with the effect's properties (duration, etc.). Only the glow color temporarily changes during the stacking highlight period.
Favorite Items Protection!
Built-in functionality from the ItemFavorites modification allows marking important items as favorites to prevent accidental movement during sorting.
- "Favorite" status is assigned by clicking an item while holding the left alt key (configurable).
- ItemFavorites also provides additional functionality for working with favorite items.
- Since ItemFavorites comes bundled with this mod, separate installation isn't required and can be removed.
