Doctor Who: Regeneration (Legacy)

This Minecraft Forge mod grants players the ability to regenerate after death, drawing inspiration from the iconic British series "Doctor Who".

Main Features

The regeneration process allows players to avoid permanent death up to 12 times using standard Minecraft mechanics. During regeneration, the character emits a powerful wave of fiery energy that fully heals them and grants various temporary effects. After completing the regeneration process, the player gains unique abilities but may also experience temporary side effects.

Grace Period

Upon death, a special grace period activates, giving the player up to 15 minutes to decide on regeneration. This feature is particularly useful in situations where immediate regeneration could be dangerous or lead to damage to surrounding structures.

Regeneration Consequences

After successful regeneration, the character fully restores health, hunger, and oxygen supply, receiving additional temporary bonuses. However, the traumatic process of transforming every cell in the body may cause temporary negative effects.

Unique Traits

Each new regeneration endows the character with special characteristics (so-called "genes") that become part of their renewed body. Among the available traits are fire immunity, hydrophobia, and spider-like abilities.

Appearance Customization

Players can change their skin after each regeneration by placing skin files in the .minecraft/mods/Regeneration/skins folder and using the in-game regeneration settings menu. The settings interface also allows personalization of regeneration energy color, animation style, and hand type.

Special Blocks

Bio-container — this block allows preserving the characteristics of the current body and passively accumulating residual regeneration energy. To activate its functions, an amputated hand must be placed in the corresponding interface slot. The player can obtain additional regenerations by using the Shift+RMB combination on the block when not in a regeneration state.

Fob Watch — a special item that allows storing and obtaining up to 12 regenerations.
