Remapped
Remapped mod fundamentally improves the standard map system in Minecraft, making maps more functional and accessible for players.
Main Features
The mod offers three key improvements that transform map functionality:
Enhanced Color Accuracy
The map color system has been completely reworked to achieve maximum display accuracy. It uses a flexible data-driven system that allows creating new color schemes through datapacks and assigning them to various blocks and biomes.
Important: blocks from other mods will not appear on the map due to the specifics of this system.
Budget-Friendly Maps
Map creation has become significantly cheaper thanks to a new recipe that requires only an ink sac instead of a compass. These simplified maps don't include player tracking functionality but are perfect for basic navigation.
Improved Zooming
When zooming out a map, the center of the current area remains the central point on the zoomed-out version, providing more logical and convenient navigation behavior.
Technical Details
Remapped uses its own map save format that is incompatible with Minecraft's standard format. When installing the mod in an existing world, all previously created maps will become blank and unusable.
