ReOpenAL

ReOpenAL is a client-side MinecraftForge mod that provides players with a solution to restart the game's sound system without needing to fully reload mods and resource packs.

The Problem It Solves

Sometimes when launching Minecraft, the sound system fails to initialize correctly through OpenAL, and the game starts running in a so-called "silent mode" — without any audio accompaniment.

Simple Solution

Instead of restarting the entire game, simply open the sound settings through the menu ("Options" → "Music and Sounds"), and ReOpenAL will automatically attempt to restart the sound system using OpenAL.

Compatibility

The mod supports Minecraft versions from 1.9 to 1.12.2.
