Replication Mod

Mod illustration

Replication is a technological modification that enables the replication of resources of similar types. It allows converting one material into another of comparable nature - for instance, transforming dirt into stone, but cannot create diamonds from soil.

Workflow

The mod requires the Titanium framework to function.

Core Mechanisms

Matter conduits are used to connect Replication equipment and automate various processes:

  • Energy transfer: operate as standard power channels
  • Matter transfer: transport disintegrated matter from the Disintegrator to Matter Tanks and then to other devices requiring resources

Identification Chamber analyzes items to determine their material characteristics and saves data onto specialized chips. These chips can be placed in the Chip Storage, where they become accessible to the entire network.

Replicators support operation in "Infinite Mode", where they continue reproducing resources until capacity is filled or matter reserves are depleted. This mode can be configured through the device interface.

System Operation Principle

To transform items, they must first be broken down to basic material values using the Disintegrator. This device converts any object with material value into pure matter. After scanning items and saving their characteristics onto chips, you can use the Replication Terminal to request needed resources. With a request created, Replicators utilize matter from tanks to recreate the item from scratch and deliver it back to the terminal.

For Pack Developers

Datapacks

You can modify, add, or remove material values through datapacks. It's not necessary to specify values for each modified item, as the system automatically calculates them based on crafting recipes. Datapack examples

Blueprints

Create blueprints (single-use items) containing a percentage of scanned item information using the command /replication create-blueprint-using-hand <progress>, where progress is a decimal number from 0 to 1. This allows creating blueprints based on the current item in hand, respecting its NBT data. These blueprints can then be transferred through the Identification Chamber or directly to the Chip Storage.

Tags

Use the tag replication:cant_be_scanned to prevent scanning of a specific item (this only blocks scanning, not replication).

The tag replication:cant_be_disintegrated disables the ability to disintegrate an item in the Disintegrator.
