Repurpose
Repurpose is a modification that significantly expands the capabilities of standard Minecraft, offering alternative ways to obtain materials and blocks. It allows you to focus on the most interesting part - building!
Items
Bed Compass
Never lose your bed again! This compass shows the direction and distance to the last bed you slept in. Works only in the overworld.
Enchantment Items
New ways to obtain enchanted books:
- Fluffy Fabric - creates a book with Silk Touch enchantment or allows enchanting boots with Step Assist
- Snorkel - creates a book with Respiration I enchantment
- Whetstone - creates a book with Sharpness I enchantment
Stone Shears
Save iron! Stone shears work the same as regular ones but have lower durability.
Swift Blades
Incredibly fast swords that attack with almost no cooldown. Available in all materials: wood, stone, iron, gold, and diamond.
Sickles
A new tool for collecting grass, flowers, and leaves over a large area with a single swing. Does not damage crops.
Iron Lump
Created from 3 iron nuggets. Used for crafting chainmail armor. 3 lumps can be combined into an iron ingot.
Scrolls
Alternative to books for enchantments. Can be enchanted at an enchantment table and applied via anvil. Can also create bookshelves from scrolls.
Bag of Holding
Multifunctional item with advanced capabilities:
- Open bag inventory with right-click in off-hand
- Display selected item and slot number
- Place selected item in the world
- Change selected item with key combinations
- Automatic collection of drops into the bag when open
Crates and Food Bundles
Compact food storage system:
- Eggs - clutch → carton
- Carrots - bunch → crate
- Potatoes - bunch → crate
- Beetroots - bunch → crate
Blocks
Redstone Clock
Periodically turns redstone signal on and off with configurable intervals and directions.
Dirt Blocks
Slabs, stairs, and walls made of dirt and grass:
- Dirt slabs - turn into grass slabs when near grass blocks
- Dirt stairs - similarly turn into grass stairs
- Dirt walls - can also become grass walls
- Grass slabs, stairs, and walls - ready-made variants
Enriched Farmland
Can grow any vanilla crops, including nether wart and sugar cane.
Redstone Scanner
Detects entities within radius and generates redstone signal. Configurable to search for animals, villagers, monsters, and players.
Other Blocks
- Mini redstone block - compact power source
- Glowstone slabs - glow as brightly but take up less space
Additional Features
Improved Crop Harvesting
Right-click on mature crops automatically harvests and replants seeds.
Alternative Resource Sources
- Coal ore - can drop diamond shards (4 shards = 1 diamond)
- Leaves - can drop sticks and apples
- Tall grass - can drop beetroot, melon, pumpkin, and cocoa seeds
- Dirt/grass - can drop carrots, potatoes, beetroots, bones, clay
- Stone - can drop coal, iron nuggets, flint, gold nuggets

- Smelting armor back into materials
- Converting wooden and stone blocks
- Creating leather from rotten flesh
- Recipes for clay, glowstone dust, slime, saddle, string
- Charcoal block and nether star recipe
Other Improvements
- Flat bedrock (1.12.2 only) - flat world bottom for easy movement
- /home command - teleportation to last bed
- Mobile light (1.12.2 only) - illumination from torches in hands
Enchantments
Step Assist
Automatic obstacle overcoming at different heights:
- Level 1: blocks up to 1 high
- Level 2: blocks up to 1.5 high (fences/walls)
- Level 3: blocks up to 2 high
Modpack Usage
The mod can be freely used in any modpacks without additional permissions.
