Resonance - Atmospheric Sounds for Minecraft
Resonance is a cross-platform client-side modification that introduces various ambient sounds to Minecraft, triggered by different gameplay situations.

With the release of version 1.21.5, developers added several new sound effects, which sparked the idea of much greater potential for atmospheric audio accompaniment. Resonance solves this problem by offering a much richer and more diverse sound environment that makes the game world truly come alive.
Sound System Features
Unlike other ambient sound modifications that simply play a looped track with all biome sounds, Resonance uses a combined approach. The system includes background loops and additional sound effects that activate under specific conditions. This creates much deeper and more realistic immersion while maintaining the stylistic integrity of the base game.
Sound Activation Conditions
- Various biomes and landscapes
- Surrounding blocks and structures
- Time of day and weather conditions
- Seasonal changes (with Serene Seasons installed)
Enhanced Weather System
The redesigned storm system deserves special attention. Thunder sounds now vary depending on the distance to the epicenter, making storms more threatening and realistic. You'll truly feel the difference between distant rumbles and close lightning strikes.
Customization to Your Needs
All the aforementioned functions can be finely tuned through configuration files. You can adjust the volume of individual sound categories, change their frequency of occurrence, or completely disable elements you don't like.
