retroEMI Forge

retroEMI Forge is an unofficial adaptation of the popular EMI mod for Minecraft version 1.7.10 on the Forge platform.

EMI is a multifunctional and convenient tool for viewing items and crafting recipes. The mod offers many new features and is optimized for maximum user convenience. Now, to run EMI in Minecraft 1.7.10 Forge, you only need to additionally install UniMixins and GTNH Lib.

NEI Compatibility

Currently, real-time compatibility with NEI is not supported. Stay tuned for updates.

Features of This Version

• This version strives to match the original project as closely as possible, except for removing content that does not exist in Minecraft 1.7.10 (e.g., composting, blast furnace recipes, JEI compatibility, etc.).
• Since EMI relies on fastutil and Mixin, GTNH Lib and UniMixins must be installed.
• Compatibility with other mods is not yet supported; plugins need to be written for them.

What Does EMI Offer?

Of course, EMI includes all the standard features you would expect: viewing recipes, favoriting items, search, and similar capabilities. But what new features does EMI bring?

• Quick crafting mode for instantly creating any available recipes, activated by toggle or via settings for empty search queries
• Ability to favorite recipes along with items and use them for quick crafting with a single button press
• Recipe tree for analyzing the cost of complex crafts, showing each step, the required amount of basic ingredients, and leftover materials
• Crafting mode via recipe tree, calculating materials and steps needed to complete a task, including synthetic favorites in the sidebar for precise crafting of each step
• Smart display of tags with translations, models, and tooltips, showing ingredients at a glance (e.g., "Planks" instead of slowly cycling through all plank types in the game)
• Intelligent analysis of base costs, allowing recipes to be automatically broken down into basic ingredients and custom default parameters to be set during gameplay
• Tooltips for recipes, tags, and ingredients, showing what will be crafted and what each component consists of
• Hotkeys for quick crafting directly into inventory or cursor, one or multiple at a time, in combination with favorite recipes or crafting mode
• Clean and modern API, built from the ground up for simplicity, power, and support of all EMI features
