Ride Along - Shared Travel Possibilities
Ride Along mod introduces an amazing feature: villagers and small animals can now ride on larger creatures! The system automatically determines who can be a rider and who can be a mount based on their hitbox sizes. This works excellently with both vanilla and modded mobs.
What Can You Do With This Mod?
Send villagers on journeys by placing them on a horse and leading them with a leash. Easily transport animals in boats and back. If you have a mod like Realistic Horse Genetics that allows horses to carry two riders, you can take your cat along on horseback rides. This also works for transporting rare chickens from Genetic Animals.
How to Use?
There are two simple ways to mount creatures on each other:

While riding a mount or in a vehicle that can carry more than one passenger (such as a boat), hold Ctrl and right-click on the future rider.

Attach the mount to a lead, then hold Ctrl and right-click on the creature you want to mount.
To make all passengers dismount, simply hold Ctrl and right-click on the mount.
The default control key is left Ctrl, but you can rebind it to any other key of your choice.
For mod developers: if you want to configure how many creatures a particular mob can carry or what sizes are required for transportation, refer to the relevant guidelines.
Historical note: in Minecraft versions 1.15 and 1.16, this feature was part of the Realistic Horse Genetics mod. Starting with version 1.17, Ride Along became an independent standalone mod.
