Ripples of the Past - Modification Based on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Universe

This mod brings supernatural abilities from the famous manga and anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure into the world of Minecraft. The main focus is on three types of supernatural powers: Stands, Hamon, and vampirism. The developers aim to organically integrate these abilities into survival gameplay, giving players freedom of action and encouraging creative use of acquired powers in the spirit of Minecraft's sandbox nature.

Animation Requirements

For proper display of new character poses and animations of some Hamon techniques, it is necessary to install the playerAnimator and bendy-lib mods.

Supernatural Abilities and How to Obtain Them

Vampirism

Vampires possess incredible strength and numerous enhancements, and can also create armies of loyal zombies. Instead of regular food, they require the blood of living creatures to maintain their power. The main drawback is vulnerability to sunlight, as vampires belong to the undead.

Becoming a vampire is possible with a Stone Mask, which can be found in jungle pyramids. The mask activates upon contact with blood - simply take damage or harm a nearby villager or animal. Player vampires can also share part of their power with others, turning them into weaker kin.

Hamon

Hamon is a special energy generated through a specific breathing technique. In its properties, this energy is similar to sunlight, making it an effective weapon against the undead, including vampires. However, Hamon also possesses defensive and utility capabilities.

To master Hamon, you need to find a teacher. This can be a Hamon Master mob residing in Hamon temples in mountainous areas, or another player who already possesses this technique. Hamon offers various skills, but mastering and strengthening them will require time and persistent training.

Stands

A Stand represents the spiritual embodiment of a person's life energy. It usually manifests as a separate entity floating near the user, but can sometimes be tied to real objects or have no visible form at all. Each Stand possesses unique abilities and physical limitations.

Stand power can be obtained using a Stand Arrow. There are two ways to acquire it: find a meteorite in a snowy biome, mine its core with a diamond pickaxe, and craft an Arrow from the scraps; or find an Arrow in a desert pyramid.

In the current version of the mod (0.2.2), 7 basic Stands are available:

• Magician's Red
• Silver Chariot
• Crazy Diamond
• Gold Experience

Community Addons

The mod community has created numerous addons adding new Stands such as The Hand, Stone Free, Kraft Work, Killer Queen, Hermit Purple, Bad Company, C-Moon, Made in Heaven, Pearl Jam, Mandom, Whitesnake, and King Crimson.

For step-by-step instructions on ability controls in the game, you can use the /jojocontrols command (a reminder will appear in chat when you first gain a power).

Work is currently underway on an update for Minecraft version 1.21.1+ and PvE content.
