Risus - Blood & Ruin
Trailer
What is Risus?
Risus introduces a mysterious plague into the Minecraft world. Unlike typical infections, this affliction doesn't spread conventionally - it constantly permeates the environment, only revealing itself when causing bloody consequences or destruction. Many elements of the mod evoke romanticized cult aesthetics. Players must explore the world and uncover the story told in the notes of a missing researcher to comprehend the phenomenon known as Risus.
Starting the Adventure
The best way to experience this mod is to begin playing blind, without previewing the added content list. Once you interact with any Risus element, the achievements tab becomes accessible. Following achievements, you'll discover the first step involves finding an Alteration Site, where a book must be placed in the central Alteration Catalyst. This yields the Researcher's Notes, which serve as the mod's guidebook and wiki.
