RoA Part 1: Ruinous Call [ON HIATUS]
Development paused until acquiring additional mod development knowledge
Introduction
"Strange ruins have been discovered across the Overworld, concealing ancient artifacts and undiscovered knowledge. This has driven humanity into a frenzy to comprehend and decode their nature, even if the answers they seek could lead to their own downfall..."
Description
This is the first mod in a planned series focused on the ancient Fragmen civilization and their home - the Rings of Aeon.
In "Ruinous Call" you'll explore the Overworld in search of Fragmen ruins, which will serve as the primary source of unique items and decorative elements. These discoveries will also provide glimpses into the Fragmen culture and beliefs, encouraging you to speculate about who they truly were.
You'll need brushes before searching for ruins, as most weapons and decorations can be found by carefully cleaning suspicious sand and gravel within the ruins.
Please note that the presented content may change since the mod is in early development stages.

Weapons
"It is believed that in a final desperate attempt to avoid extinction, the Fragmen developed weapons to fight against an unknown enemy seeking their destruction. These weapons are now passed down to you to ensure they are not forgotten"
A key feature of "Ruinous Call" is the weapons you'll acquire through excavating and researching Fragmen ruins. Each is designed to change your combat approach against opponents.
Parts for crafting weapons can rarely be found by brushing suspicious sand in Fragmen ruins or by discovering unique historical sites.
Most weapons activate their abilities by right-clicking unless otherwise specified.
Blood Rush
"An artifact of religious symbolism: the redstone in its blade allows the wielder to increase blade sharpness at the cost of their life force"
Ability: A dagger that converts the user's health into damage boost, reducing health level to two hearts.
Half of the sacrificed health can be regained by right-clicking again while holding the weapon in your main hand, or fully restored by hitting an enemy.
Devil's Fortune
"A gauntlet of unknown purpose whose mechanism can provide temporary enhancements... both positive and negative"
Ability: When worn on the arm and its ability used, grants random buffs or debuffs with a 10% chance of obtaining particularly advantageous or disadvantageous effects.
Fragmen Polearm
"Presumably used by Fragmen infantry. The unconventional design provides the fighter with accumulative speed and damage. Excessive speed may break the weapon, so the bound chains serve to restrain speed"
Ability: Damage increases with attack combos, and the player also gains speed and haste effects from longer combos.
Upon reaching Speed effect level 3 or when moving very fast, the weapon will begin taking gradual damage. Buffs can be removed by right-clicking the weapon, but this also resets the damage bonus from combos to zero.
Note: The weapon was originally intended to damage the player, but due to damage detection issues and risk balancing, this penalty wasn't implemented.

Pottery Sherds
"The Fragmen documented their history and symbolism using unique pottery sherds depicting creatures and places both known and unknown"
Ruinous Call adds a new collection of pottery sherds for crafting pots. These can be obtained by cleaning suspicious blocks in Fragmen ruins.
Fragman Sherd
"This sherd apparently depicts a Fragman's head, though it's unknown whether the elements in the top corners are ears or parts of the head itself, as no physical remains of Fragmen have been found"
Cloud Owl Sherd
"The bird depicted is an owl species that existed during Fragmen times. It earned this name from reports of its white feathers and ability to use clouds to conceal its movements"
Unknown Cat Shard
"Since no samples of this species' fur have been found beyond the skull, most information about it remains unknown. What is definitively known is that it possessed two pairs of eyes, as shown on the sherd"
Human Shard
"The most astonishing of creatures documented on sherds is a human being. This means the Fragmen knew about humanity during their civilization, but no evidence has been found that humanity knew about them"
Blocks
Reliquia Bricks
"The Fragmen developed a special material called Reliquia Bricks, using flint to achieve their unique color"
The mod adds a set of stone blocks featuring the Fragmen theme. These cool red bricks can be crafted from 4 sand, 4 gravel, and 1 flint.

Decorations
"Ruins exploration has revealed several decorations and symbolic artifacts connected to the Fragmen culture and daily life"
Cloud Owl Statue
"First found at an old fighting arena, these wooden Cloud Owl sculptures presumably represented battle sites or past conflicts, suggesting the owl was viewed by the Fragmen as a harbinger of war or a symbol of fighting spirit"
Unknown Cat Skull
"The skull of an unidentified wildcat species with two pairs of eye sockets was observed in worship places like the Blood Temple, symbolizing life and its honorability in the Fragmen's eyes"
Structures
Blood Temple

"Found in cherry groves, this small temple was believed to be a place of worship where Blood Priests venerated the concept of life and its protection. Rumors suggest that better-preserved temples feature a single religious dagger attached to the trunk of the tree growing at their center"
Generates in cherry grove biome.

Fragmen Fighting Grounds
"Empty gravel plots surrounded by small barriers in Fragmen style no longer host fighters honing their skills here. The placement of Cloud Owl statues marked this space for honorable and friendly competitions"
Generate in savannas, plains, and badlands.
