Rope Bridge - Mod for Building Rope Bridges and Ladders

The Rope Bridge mod offers Minecraft players an innovative way to create rope structures using special construction tools.

Main Features

This addon allows building both rope bridges and rope ladders. For this purpose, two types of construction guns are used, each assembled from three separate components. The construction process is maximally simplified - just aim and shoot.

Crafting Process

To create the bridge gun, you must first craft three components:

Hook: 5 iron ingots

Barrel: 6 iron ingots, 3 strings

Stock: 1 flint and steel, 1 gunpowder, 2 iron ingots, 1 string, 2 wood blocks

After that, the gun itself is assembled:

Rope Recipe: S = String V = Vine

SV VS SV

Note: In versions 1.12+, rope is required instead of string.

Construction Process

To build a bridge, use the construction gun like a regular bow. When aiming (right-click), the view zooms in and aligns with cardinal directions.

After releasing the button, the bridge is built automatically if possible.

Construction Limitations:

• Presence of obstacles in the path (marked with smoke particles)
• Too steep angle of inclination
• Lack of necessary materials in inventory

These restrictions can be disabled in the configuration file.

If problems occur, the system notifies the player about the cause and solution method through chat. Upon successful verification, the bridge is built from slabs and string from the inventory. The bridge material is determined by the first found type of slabs.

Additional Features

Construction Commands:

/ropebridge x1 y1 z1 x2 y2 z2 [wood_id]

Example:

/ropebridge 0 60 0 20 64 0 5

Builds a dark oak bridge from coordinates (0, 60, 0) to (20, 64, 0). If wood_id is not specified, the default material - oak - is used.

Wooden Slab Types:

• Oak Slab - 0
• Spruce Slab - 1
• Birch Slab - 2
• Jungle Slab - 3
• Acacia Slab - 4
• Dark Oak Slab - 5

To quickly remove the entire bridge, just crouch and break any bridge section with the construction gun.
