Rubinated Nether

This Vanilla+ modification brings back rubies into the game, which were once planned by Minecraft developers but excluded from the final version. The mod offers various functional and decorative blocks, as well as a completely redesigned Nether progression system.

Main Features

Rubies can be found in the Nether in several locations: near lava oceans, under the Nether roof, or in Piglin bastions. A diamond pickaxe is required to mine them.

Using the freezer, you can transform molten rubies into regular rubies. The device also allows freezing ice into colder variants, magma cream into regular slimeballs, and magma blocks into obsidian. Freezing snow yields normally unobtainable frosted ice.

Craft a ruby laser to detect entities and blocks in its path. The laser beam is invisible unless you wear ruby lenses. An alternative option is to place glass directly in front of the laser to make the beam visible. Stained glass tints the laser beam. The block's output signal is proportional to the distance to the detected object. The laser detects block hitboxes.

Right-clicking the laser activates tinted mode, where the device detects only blocks, not entities.

Placing tinted glass in the laser's path reduces its range without providing a redstone signal. Currently works only in tinted mode.

Break rubies into ruby shards for more economical and efficient trading with Piglins.

Use soakstones to absorb lava like a sponge or craft a ruby brazier to gain fire resistance.

Create ruby glass for blast-proof windows or bleeding obsidian to invite nightmares. You can rubinate obsidian by right-clicking any crying obsidian with a ruby shard.

Ruby chandeliers, ruby lanterns, and ruby lava lamps - all these stylish decorations illuminate the surrounding space! Blocks of molten ruby and molten ruby glass also glow! Ruby chandeliers can be dropped onto enemies and players like dripstone spikes.

Vanilla armor supports ruby armor trims for an orange-hued finish.

Rubinated Nether is compatible with Spelunkery (rough ruby variants), Jaden's Nether Expansion, The Aether, and other libraries. The mod also offers various configuration features for customization.

To disable the rubinated netherite recipe, enter the following command:

/datapack disable "rubinated_nether/better_netherite_template"
