Mod logo featuring the Researcher in his tent looking at a magical tower in the background

This mod adds various highly configurable structures to Minecraft along with a smart NPC who will assist you in exploring the world. Inspired by the concept of broken Nether portals, it gently guides players toward different vanilla game mechanics.

Main Features

The mod offers 9 unique structures as well as a new type of village house. The central element is the Researcher's Tent, where you'll meet the mod's main NPC. This experienced villager sells maps to other structures, engages in dialogue, and can defend himself from mobs using his dagger.

The mod's structures contain hints to various vanilla Minecraft features: incomplete conduit activation structures, damaged note block circuits, enchanting table usage tips, and much more. Even experienced players will find these buildings an interesting addition to their world.

Progression and Quests

The Researcher has a progression system - as you discover new structures, he offers maps to the next locations. Eventually, he may ask for your help in completing his own story.

Music Discs and Items

The mod includes numerous music discs with compositions from the Cydonia community, including tracks from Il Coro di Mammonk. Some discs can be combined with amethysts to create vocal versions. Unique armor patterns, pottery sherds, and banners with Cydonia's logo have also been added.

Special World

Available is the Growsseth world preset, which uses the same seed as in Cydonia's series, with fixed positions for all mod structures in the same order they appeared in the original playthrough.

Game Master Mode

Using a special web tool and appropriate mod settings, you can activate "Game Master" mode, allowing an external player to control structure spawning, Researcher trading, and send notifications. This feature is disabled by default for security reasons.

The Story of Growsseth

Once, the lands of Growsseth were prosperous and wealthy, with the powerful kingdom of Egobalego at the forefront. But after the king's disappearance, a civil war began between his sons, bringing destruction and death. At the same time, the deity worshipped by all inhabitants left the world, and a terrible curse began to spread.

People who fell asleep never woke up, turning into decaying monsters, while aggressive creatures never seen before emerged from the forests. Brave researchers tried to fight this plague but were unsuccessful. Society fell, and the greatness of the Growsseth lands remained in the past.

Years have passed since those terrible days. You open your eyes and see a living, breathing world now under nature's dominion. Your journey begins - who knows what you'll find?

Settings and Configuration

The mod allows you to disable any structures and functions. Using Mod Menu for convenient settings management is recommended.

Server language: Texts in structures (books, signs) can be configured at the server level. Currently, English and Italian are available, but other languages can be added via datapacks.

Researcher: Can operate in different modes - by default, all Researchers in the world share memory, but this can be disabled, making trading random like regular villagers.

Data synchronization: To use Game Master mode, data synchronization must be enabled and the Gamemaster URL specified.

Incompatibility

Known incompatibility with the Lithostitched mod (version 1.21 only), which causes incorrect village house spawning in the Growsseth world preset.
