Runic Items
The Runic Items mod expands Minecraft's arsenal by adding unique equipment, weapons, and enchantments for battles, as well as special items that can dramatically change gameplay. All item drop parameters are configurable via the configuration file—you can make them rarer or more accessible. Damage bonuses from certain equipment elements can also be adjusted.
The mod requires the ShadowizardLib library to function. Development is underway for versions compatible with newer Minecraft releases.
New Equipment
- Archer Boots—found in buried treasure chests. Increase arrow damage.
- Fighter Boots—sometimes dropped when killing ravagers. Boost physical melee damage.
- Wizard Boots—obtained by trading with a cleric villager. Enhance magical damage.
All these boots can be upgraded by crafting them with a Nether Star. The upgraded version provides an even greater damage bonus.
Weapons and Unique Items
- Mallet—wielded by wither skeletons. Killing them has a chance to drop the mallet. Deals 9 damage but attacks slower than a sword.
- Secrets of Life and Death—sometimes dropped when killing an evoker. Functions like a totem of undying but with a twist: upon activation, it turns you undead. In undead form, you burn in sunlight, are immune to poison and regeneration, and other undead mobs ignore you if you don't provoke them. To cure yourself, you need to have the weakness effect and eat a golden apple.
Enchantments
- Target Cracker—an enchantment for the mallet. Increases damage against armored targets. The higher the enchantment level, the more armor can be ignored: level 1 pierces 1 armor piece, level 2 pierces 2 or fewer, and so on. Each level also slightly increases damage.
