RyoamicLights
This is an unofficial port of the LambDynamicLights mod created using the Architectury architecture. The mod adds dynamic lighting to Minecraft, which is created by various objects and creatures in the game.
What is Dynamic Lighting?
Dynamic lighting allows various light sources in the game to create real illumination in the surrounding space. For example, if you hold a torch or another glowing item in your hand, it will light up the area around you. Burning creatures, magma cubes, blazes, and spectral arrows also emit light.
Main Features
The mod offers numerous functions to enhance the visual experience:
- Full dynamic lighting system
- Lighting smoothness settings for optimal performance
- Support for items from other mods
- Light from any creatures holding glowing items
- Glow from magma cubes and blazes
- Illumination from spectral arrows
- Light from burning creatures
- Realistic behavior - some items don't glow underwater
- Simple API for developers
Installation and Usage
For the mod to work, ObsidianUI installation is required. For better performance, Sodium (for Fabric/Quilt) or Embeddium (for Fabric/Forge/NeoForge) is recommended.
After installation, go to video settings or the mod list to find the "Dynamic Lighting" option. By default, it is disabled - select the desired configuration and enjoy improved graphics! You can also edit settings in the config/ryoamiclights.toml file.
Compatibility
Sodium or Embeddium are recommended for better performance. The mod is incompatible with OptiFine, OptiForge, and OptiFabric.
The mod is distributed under the MIT license.
