When villagers die, they may leave puddles of blood on the ground. This blood can be collected in a bottle and consumed. However, be cautious—drinking blood provides almost no hunger satisfaction but causes nausea and progressive blood sickness. With each new sip, the level of this ailment increases by one. Life as a Vampire

Upon becoming a vampire, you gain a constant need for blood to survive. Fortunately, you no longer have to rely on random traces left by villagers. Simply aim your gaze at any creature with blood and hold down the bite key (default R) to slowly drain its life force. Remember: completely draining a creature will kill it.

Your vampiric nature makes you an outcast in the eyes of villagers—they will fear you, and iron golems will attack on sight. Luckily, there is a solution! By wearing a Carved Mask, you can move freely among villagers without fear of them fleeing, and iron golems will no longer see you as a threat. However, this disguise comes at the cost of being unable to drink blood.
