[SBM] Hand-Held Piston
About the Modification
This unique mod transforms an ordinary piston into a portable tool that can be used directly in your hands. Now you don't need to install mechanisms - just take the piston in your hand and move blocks, mechanisms, and even mobs with incredible ease. The mod offers several operating modes, including a sticky piston for pulling objects, an advanced mode with directional control, and a special mode for moving the player themselves.
Feature Demonstration
How to Use
Currently, the piston works with one block at a time, but future updates plan to add the ability to move multiple blocks simultaneously with increased tool power.
Basic Mode
The standard piston functions similarly to a regular mechanism but with expanded capabilities. In universal mode, you can push blocks and entities by simply clicking on the desired surface. Mobs move along cardinal directions, which is particularly useful in puzzles or for freeing stuck creatures.
Sticky Version [In Development]
This piston type works opposite to the basic one - instead of pushing objects, it pulls them toward the player. An ideal solution for extracting blocks from hard-to-reach places or dismantling structures.
Advanced Mode
A combined version that brings together the best features of previous options. The direction of block movement is determined by the click point: the top face moves the object north, the center moves it forward, and corners move it backward. This provides maximum control over movement.
Programming Interface
The mod includes a simple API for integration with other modifications. Developers can configure block behavior during movement, block the movement of specific objects, or add new functions. Built-in support ensures proper chest operation when moved and continuous music playback from jukeboxes.
Single Block Mod Series
This mod series specializes in creating simple yet functional additions with one main element. Each modification is carefully crafted and offers multiple usage options, making them an ideal solution for filling gaps in mod packs and reducing dependency on large additions.
