[SBM] Oil Ore
Concept
This modification was developed for modpacks where liquid oil usage is undesirable. Oil ore generates randomly in the world, just like any other ores.
The ore can be mined with stone tools and smelted into oil clumps without requiring large mods. The obtained oil clump can be combined with a bucket to create fuel or used in furnaces instead of coal. Energy capacity equals half that of lava.
Item creation:
Oil Ore → Smelting in furnace → Oil Clump
Oil Clump + Bucket → Fuel
Configuration:
- Ability to disable all recipes
- Recipe modification via Voltz Engine or Minetweaker
- Adjustment of output item quantities in recipes
- Configuration of oil clump burn time (default 10,000 ticks, half of lava)
- Option to disable usage as furnace fuel
- Ore mining level configuration
- Disabling world ore generation
- Modification of generation parameters: minimum/maximum height, vein size, blocks per chunk
Planned features:
- Random textures
- Variable drop amounts of ore
- Support for mining bonuses
- Versions for different materials (sand, netherrack, end stone, gravel)
- Enlarged deposit veins
Single Block Mod Series
The Single Block Mod project is dedicated to creating simple modifications with single functionality. Each mod focuses on one block or content element, offering maximum usage options.
Modifications in this series perfectly fill gaps in modpacks, allowing developers to avoid including large mods for implementing individual features.
