Scaling Health - Scalable Health
Do you feel that Minecraft has become too easy after many hours of gameplay? Or conversely - has your modpack made the game unbearably difficult? Scaling Health offers an elegant solution for balancing gameplay, allowing you to customize the health of both players and mobs.
Main Features
This mod provides a flexible system for configuring health and difficulty. Players can increase their maximum health using special crystals, while mobs become stronger as difficulty increases. The system is fully customizable to your preferences.
Difficulty System
Each player has an individual difficulty score that gradually increases over time. This parameter affects enemy strength - the higher the difficulty, the more health and damage mobs receive. There's also a chance for particularly dangerous creatures - Blights - to appear.
Difficulty Calculation Modes
- Average - considers the difficulty of all players within a certain radius
- Maximum/Minimum - uses the highest or lowest score in the area
- Distance-based - difficulty depends on distance from spawn point
- Combined - combines time and distance factors
- Server-wide - single difficulty level for the entire server
Attribute Scaling
Mobs gain additional health depending on current difficulty. Several calculation methods are available:
- Multiplicative - health is multiplied by a coefficient
- Additive - fixed amount of health is added
You can also configure increased damage taken based on player's maximum health or difficulty level.
Special Mobs - Blights
Blights are enhanced versions of regular mobs with increased health, higher damage, and special effects. They're easily recognizable by their purple glow. These creatures provide more experience and valuable items but pose a serious threat.
Useful Items
Health Crystals
Used to permanently increase player's maximum health. Drop from mobs or crafted from shards. Each crystal adds one extra heart.
Power Crystals
Increase player's base attack. Rarer than health crystals.
Healing Items
Bandages and medkits restore a percentage of maximum health. Application takes 5 seconds and slows movement.
Special Hearts
Cursed Heart increases difficulty, while Enchanted Heart decreases it. Drop from certain mobs at high difficulty levels.
Interface and Commands
A difficulty bar displays on screen showing current level in your area. Commands are available for managing health and difficulty:
/sh_difficulty- view and change difficulty/sh_health- manage player health
The mod requires Silent Lib and Minecraft Forge to work.
