IMPORTANT INFORMATION

For correct dimension generation, it is required to set a high random tick speed (preferably 900). This is because the generation is based on block ticks, but even with other mods the game won't slow down.

Use the command /gamerule randomTickSpeed 900 (requires cheats). This dependency will be removed in future updates.

The mod also requires Geckolib, which is not downloaded automatically - you need to download it separately.

For a better gaming experience it is recommended:

• Set render distance to 5 chunks when in the 3008 dimension
• Set brightness to "Moody" for maximum immersion

ABOUT THE MOD

This mod adds an infinitely generated retail store called "Mokang Stores", the idea for which comes from the SCP-3008 creepypasta. You'll find recreated home interiors, rooms with furniture, vending sections with materials - everything you'd expect in a regular store, but adapted for Minecraft.

The mod is vanilla style - it follows the game's standard principles and blends organically into the game context.

The concept has already been implemented in other games, but in Minecraft such infinite random generation of different structures hasn't been extensively explored by developers before. For this project, I studied popular dimension generation methods and combined them with a modular approach based on probabilities.

HOW TO ENTER THE DIMENSION

To enter the 3008 store dimension, simply respawn in a village house - this will almost certainly transport you there. Preferably, the building should have a profession block (like many village houses do).

Important: You cannot bring items with you (since they don't save on respawn by default), unless you have keep inventory enabled.

Upon entry, you'll find yourself in a retail store with a wall behind you and two on the sides, but the path forward will be open.

THE DIMENSION'S INTERIOR

The structures you can find are randomly generated, including some quite rare special constructions that will help you survive.

There are 3 floors that you can travel between while searching for the exit. I won't spoil specific structures - just know that you might occasionally find special places useful for survival.

The dimension has some fog - just enough to create the right atmosphere.

DIMENSION INHABITANTS

You're not alone in this dimension. You can encounter other creatures here, such as store employees, though there's clearly something wrong with them. Other creatures may be added in the future.

The dimension has a day/night cycle corresponding to the store's working hours. You can tell the time of day by the fog color and light level.

Occasionally you'll find pillars with computers that display brief tutorials about the dimension's structures and creatures.

COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER MODS

Mods that work well with this one:

• Any SCP mods in vanilla style for version 1.20.1 - they create a similar eerie atmosphere
• Hardcore Darkness - a mod that enhances the darkness effect at night
• Backrooms mods - have much in common in terms of feel: both dimensions can be entered accidentally and are almost impossible to escape

POSSIBLE FUTURE UPDATES

"Civilization" Update: If added, I'll include an elementary civilization of survivors (villagers or other creatures - haven't decided yet) that will spawn similarly to villages in the overworld. This would align with the original SCP-3008 lore and become an interesting feature.
