Screenshot

This modification is a port of the screenshot functionality from Beta 1.7.3 to earlier alpha versions of Minecraft. Screenshot capability was only introduced in Alpha 1.2.0, where it required simultaneously pressing the F1 key – this mod eliminates that requirement.

Compatibility and Key Features

This mod is adapted for the following game versions: Alpha 1.0.4, 1.0.5_01, 1.0.11–1.0.17_04, 1.1.0, 1.1.2_01, 1.2.6 and Beta 1.1_02.

Technical Implementation Details

Alpha 1.0.4–1.0.5_01 versions:
For these early releases, the GuiIngame and Minecraft classes were modified, and integration of the ScreenShotHelper class was implemented. The interface system didn't have chat functionality yet, hence screenshot filename display was implemented through GuiIngame modifications.

Alpha 1.1.0 and 1.1.2_01 versions:
The main focus was on enabling the system to function without the F1 key combination.

For Beta 1.1_02 and Alpha 1.2.6 versions:
The requirement to hold down F1 for taking screenshots was also removed.
