Sculk Transporting

Main Features

Sculk Transporting enables item transportation using sculk signals. To get started, you'll need to find a Deep Dark biome and gather sculk blocks, sculk sensors, sculk veins, and some deepslate. Every sculk-based transportation system consists of three essential components: Sculk Barrel, Sculk Emitter, and Sculk Receiver.

The Sculk Barrel serves as the item source for the entire system. When you place a Sculk Emitter on top of it, the emitter will extract items from the barrel and store them until it detects a Sculk Receiver or Sculk Transmitter. The maximum distance between these blocks is 8 blocks. For longer distances, you'll need to use a Sculk Transmitter to amplify the signal. The Sculk Receiver automatically deposits received items into any container placed beneath it. The Sculk Transmitter functions similarly to a vanilla repeater, enabling item transportation over significant distances. If multiple sculk transportation blocks are nearby but shouldn't interact with each other, you can use wool to block the signals, just like with regular sculk sensors.

Item Filtering

In addition to signal transmission, the Sculk Transmitter can filter items. If you right-click it with an item in hand, it will only allow that specific item to pass through. You can cancel this mode by right-clicking the transmitter with an empty hand - then it will allow all items to pass through except for the one displayed on its side.

Upgrades

The Sculk Emitter and Sculk Receiver can be modified with speed modifiers. These allow the blocks to transfer items much faster than shown in the images above. There are 4 speed modifier tiers, each increasing the transfer speed. In addition to the speed modifier, the Sculk Emitter can also use a quantity modifier, enabling it to extract more items simultaneously from the Sculk Barrel beneath it. It's important to note that Sculk Transmitters cannot be modified, which may create bottlenecks in the transportation system. This issue can be resolved by installing multiple transmitters feeding to two receivers at the same location.

In-Game Guide

It's highly recommended to install Patchouli. The Sculk Transporting book can be crafted using a book and a sculk block - it contains detailed explanations and information about the mod, as well as crafting recipes.
